Our client EVAL Europe N.V. is a fully-owned subsidiary of Kuraray. Located in Antwerp (Zwijndrecht) they specialize in manufacturing and selling EVOH (ethylene vinyl-alcohol copolymer). The innovative, high-tech production plant started in 1999 and since then tripled the initial prodcution capacity. The plant is employing 145 people.

To further support their growth we are looking for a Reliability Engineer.

The Content

As a Reliability Engineer you have a key role within te Asset Management departement. You are responsible to manage maintenance plans. You ensure that all inputs (from RCA, FMEA, Hazop, PSUSR, Cuase code analyses) are integrated as a continuously improving process. You will also be involved in cross-departemental project teams, working together with colleagues from technical, production and maintenance.

As a Reliability Engineer your responsabilities include:

• Monitor, signal and prioritize risks for potential breakdowns or bottlenecks, based upon data analyses, safety and regulatory rules. Suggest improvement concepts
• Organize & facilitate criticality ranking and FMEA sessions and manage actions.
• Establish and maintain PM plans with periodical review; adjust maintenance approach to changing business objectives.
• Give input to AM for business cases LTAP & capex investments (life time ext. versus replacement).
• Work closely with other members of manufacturing to achieve increased plant continuity.

You will be based in our production plant in Zwijndrecht (Antwerp), Belgium. In this role you report to the Asset Management Leader. Your internal piers are the maintenance and production engineers. You also cooperate closely with maintenance foremen to use their experience for improving maintenance plans.

The ideal candidate

As a Reliability Engineer you:

• Obtained a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering and you can rely on a broad experience in all aspects of maintenance, either from an contractor background or from an end customer position in the (petro)chemical sector.
• Are an open-minded team player that is willing to deal with the challenges and opportunities a small and agile organization brings.
• Have an analytical mind and you work systematically, conscientiously and in a structured manner.
